I love this show! It's amazing to see what these men go through and tough this job really is. It is captivating from the first episode. I found myself anxiously awaiting the third season to begin. I too love the guys on this show. I don't want to call them characters since they are real people living their lives while we watch. I have to give these guys alot of credit. I don't think I could go through all that for a paycheck. I'm happy behind a desk!

The Deadliest Catch is an addicting show to watch. The job of an Alaskan crab fisherman is definitely intriguing, and the characters on this show are very entertaining. I agree with EDT that this show is perfect to counter boredom in the middle of the night. Deadliest Catch is one of the best shows on cable.

Enjoyable real-life drama showing the perils of being a crab fisherman in Alaska, supposedly one of the most hazardous jobs around. It looks horrible; numbing cold, days without sleep, constant physical activity, harrowing stress, the perpetual threat of dismemberment or death...I guess working in front of a computer 8 hours a day isn't so bad after all. It can all get monotonous after awhile, which I guess is another part of what the job is all about. But if I'm suffering another bout of insomnia, and it's a choice between this or a re-run of "Real World: Camden, NJ" or Rachael Ray or Gene Simmons and his family doing goofy things, I'll take "Deadliest Catch" any night or pre-dawn of the week.
