If this is what I think it is, it gets very irritating when it cuts into items on the lists.

I realize with these inline advertisement tags were created, but if any RIA "improvement" deserves a single star, this one does. As everyone acknowledges, a free site must be financed through advertisers, and I have no objections to ads on the home page or even attached to my weblists; however, gumming up my comments has crossed the line. Frankly, I can't imagine how these have any value to advertisers, especially given how often they are illogically attached to the actual subject of the review. The bottom line is these inline ads should go the way of the Dodo.

Well, of course they kind of suck. Though there is some comedic value in that the word "sake" is underlined as an ad for Japanese rice wine, it's kind of distracting. Site definately needs ads for revenue. I think I'd prefer ads on the side where I can easily ignore them rather than be imbedded in the comments (though, through the advertiser's standpoint, it's the equivalent of standing in front of the movie projector, it is the best way to get noticed, so I get where they're coming from. I just think it sucks). I use Firefox, and I'm getting the ads. If anyone can tell me how to take 'em out, I'd be much obliged.

I was wondering what the hell they were for a minute and then was mildly offended when I unintentionally advertised for Japanese mufflers while commenting on the end of WW2. WTF?

Yes. Ads suck. But without ads, there is no site. (one note: if you use Firefox, you don't see these ads)
