A bit down and dirty, but there's a certain energy to the place that I've really dug a few times.  Hip-hop, reggae, and dancehall are their bread and butter, and on the nights when they do draw a crowd, the downstairs becomes a dank, hot, dance-your-ass off until you drop kind of environment.  girls, ditch the heels and expect to sweat a little, in other words, save the "see and be seen" outfit for another venue.  Now, that having been said, why only three stars?  This place is very hit and miss, i.e., it's either packed and rocking or dead and empty, without much in between.  Drinks are a bit much for what you usually get, and there's just no avoiding that fact that 6th st. b/t Market and Mission is a filthy, rundown, scary-ass block to walk down.

This club had bad parking and was overpriced. They only play one type of music. The DJ was horrible.

Six is a great place. Good looking crowd. The energy there on saturday night is a bit lacking.
