I came here for brunch on my Bday two years ago. They made these little awesome blueberry drinks that were delicious! We ordered the risotto which was super tasty and our bartender was super fun and let us try different concoctions he was testing out. Foreign Cinema is a pretty good place for brunch I have to say!

I can't rate the food but I was there for drinks a couple weeks back and enjoyed it. Trendy, different. They play black and white movies on the wall. There's a large seating area for dinner, and the outside seating looked cool but it was chilly at the time. There are a couple different bars inside, and the crowd is good. I was most impressed by the little tealight candles in the hallways and in the bathrooms; kind of a classy touch.

This place is becoming a landmark San Francisco restaurant

Perhaps the trendiest restaurant/bar that I have seen in San Francisco. Located on 22nd and Mission, you would never know that this place existed from the outside. The neighborhood is run down, and the block is pretty deserted. Once inside however, you will find an ultra trendy crowd watching foreign films projected onto a large concrete wall, or sipping Martinis or wine any of the three bars scattered throughout the restaurant. As pretentious as this place sounds, it really is worth a visit. The food is good, if a bit overpriced ($85 for two entrees, an appetizer, and a bottle of wine), and the ambiance is actually pretty cool. If you want to impress a date, this is a great choice.
