I know this sounds impossible, but I think I saw it 50 yrs. ago. Batter Curt Flood. Stuart playing wide of 1st. Grounder to Stuart's LEFT past 1B. Mazeroski over between Stuart and the bag throws out Flood, a fast runner.Maz always played toward 1st when Stuart was in the lineup. That's how a weak .260 hitter gets into the Hall of Fame

Owner of one of the greatest (and most deserved) nicknames in baseball history (Dr. Strangeglove)Stuart once received a standing ovation for snatching a windblown piece of paper out of the air during a game. It was the only grab he made all day.

With a nickname like "Dr. Strangeglove," it's pretty academic.
