He is at his best during interviews. His mind is very quick and it really shows. The far-right wingnut character he plays on his own Colbert Report is so funny that it is almost scary.

Was great on the Daily Show. I worried that he wouldn't survive the transition to a whole show built around his conservative pundit parody and that he would disappear. I couldn't have been more wrong.
