Not the best beaches,  but I learned to love this lil beach town.  It does have several historic buildings,  and like most cities it has a wealthy housing section,  but also many average/low income people live here as well.  A beautifull place to visit, dont think I would live there.  Its more of a resort/tourist type city

Unique for a Texas coastal town. A mix of Texasand the Old South.Great beaches but you'd better know where you are going in town - some rough neighborhoods!

Went there when I was 5. Don't remember much except from the pictures, and from what I can tell, it looks nice.

if you like a disgusting polluted cess pool for an ocean with no trees this is the place for you!

Historic with beautiful architecture.  Not so commercial and over developed which makes it quite nice.  Definately has lots of charm. Makes a nice day trip or a quick weekend getaway for Houstonians.
