07/20/2007 | This was a popular British new wave act that had one big hit here with a medley of "Tainted Love" and the old Supremes number "Where Did Our Love Go?" The second half was pedestrian, the first half was better, it was a cover of a pretty obscure song by Gloria Jones, a soul singer and Marc Bolan of T.Rex's girlfriend, who'd had a career of modest success and who appeared on some of his tracks like "20th Century Boy," probably the last really good T. Rex song... apparently Jones was driving the car that crashed and killed Bolan in '77. I'm not much of a new wave fan at all, but it's a decent song.
