Pushing Daisies is a US show broadcasted on the ABC network during 2007-2009, with 3 episodes from the second season yet to be aired this May. Although short-lived, getting canceled after two seasons of only 22 episodes, the show has received great acclaim coming from both the audience and the critics. The series was created and written by Bryan Fuller, with Lawrence Trilling and Barry Sonnenfeld in charge of the directing. Star Trek geek Bryan Fuller had experienced the cancelling, also after merely two seasons, of two of his past shows, namely Wonderfalls and Dead Like Me. That hasn't brought him down, but inspired him to create yet another whimsical TV show. Because, you see, these three shows have a lot in common: unusual daily jobs, unrequited love, big secrets, not-your-average family members, female characters who go under male names, anti-heroism and life after death magnified by the juxtaposition of the cliché and the absurd. The cover for the first season's DVD sums up what ... Read more

I miss it horribly already. There's an aching in my brain where the promise of weekly pie and Ned's sweet smiles should be.

I'm so sad that this show is getting cancelled.  It's beautiful to watch and the story lines are romantic and old-fashioned.  I'm sure the budget for a show like this was big.  Too big!  I can't imagine this show could compete with crappy reality garbage, low-budget wonders.  Oh well, I really miss the colorful characters and images.

good imaginative new show. a bit of drama and comedy and fantasy. good actors. like how it is narrated story book style. a man can bring back the dead for one minute{ anytime longer someone else dies around them} he is hired to help with crime scenes when someone dies with suspicious circumstances. he tries to bring them back to find out what happened to them. one of the first persons he brings back is a young lady named "chuck" a girl he liked in childhood. he brings her back and wants her to live so he can never touch her { at least skin on skin}she is one of very few who know what he can do. one of the better new shows of the season. would say give it a try.

I love this show. I think it is the best new show on this year. It has a Dr. Suess feel to it. Not full of Murders like every other show on TV. I like the cast. And the way the show looks. I hope this show last for a few seasons.

Amazing...visually stunning series with a big heart. The acting, directing, and visual disign are all first rate. Bravo to ABC for bringing this truly original series to primetime.

Don't really care for this although the premise is good. It has strange technicolor like imaging and the narrator is kinda creepy. Almost like Leminy Snicketts series of unfortunate events.
