We purchased Adobe Creative Suite 3.3 Design Premium in October, right before CS4 was released, because our sales rep, Kevin Lewis, assured us that since the release of CS4 was so soon, we would be provided a free upgrade. We specifically inquired about whether we should wait for the release, but he told us that upgrading for free would be no problem. When CS4 was released and we called to request the upgrade, he told us to contact Adobe, but they said we were not eligible for the upgrade because Softman Products was not an authorized Adobe reseller. We called Kevin Lewis and he claimed that he did not know what an authorized reseller was. Needless to say, had we known that Softman Products was making such a false promise about the upgrade, we would have waited three weeks and bought CS4, but now have no recourse. Do not buy from this seller!

Normally I am leery of buying software from reputed discount sites, due to the fact that some sites are dubious and you never know for sure until you receive the product if it is a legitimate retail copy, OEM, or pirated. I was referred to this site by another Network Engineer that has utilized them for awhile, and has suggested I give them a try for several months. So, when I received a request from one of our remote offices for a full license version of Microsoft Project Professional I decided to compare them to our normal distributors which are Microsoft or CDW. Microsoft’s direct purchase price was listed as $999, CDW at $939.99, and buycheapsoftware at $869. With a savings of at least $70, I decided to give them a try. Order placement is straight forward and easy, during the order process I was offered a coupon for $42.25, and ground shipping via FedEx was offered for free, (I needed it sooner so paid an additional $13.52 for express service), final cost was $858.52. I placed the order and received an option to print the receipt, and one was emailed to me as well. The next day I was contacted by customer service to verify the order, and that I had in fact placed it as billing was occurring in one state and delivery in another. The customer service rep was polite and professional, only asked questions in regards to the order, and did not try to elicit additional sales. The software arrived on the scheduled date, in original manufacture package, and included all licensing, certification and documentation. While I was completely satisfied with the entire experience, this was my first and only experience with the vendor so I will withhold recommendation until I have used them a couple of more times.
