I'm a guy from United Kingdom
About me: Also known as PloKoon13, I am a politically aware 17-year-old who would probably be considered as a nerd. I am sometimes (undeservedly, of course...) called a Nazi for my right-wing views, but then again I have the bad luck of living in wishy-washy liberal England. I love rock music and various films as well as video games. I have recently developed an unreasonable infatuation with Star Wars which would explain the subject of the majority of my weblists. I enjoy retro games (indeed, I am still stuck on the PSOne) and am skeptical of the next-gen.

Cesar Romero is gay? I always just had the Joker down as flamboyant...

Irritating, egotistical idiot who has the musical talent of my old dog. I didn't know he was bisexual though. I guess that explains the eyeliner.

Speaking as someone who is leaving for university tomorrow, I can certainly say that I fear change.

Well ok... but it'll have to be my left hand.

Absolutely fantastic song. From the gravelly opening riff to the infamous wail of Duane Allman's Les Paul right through Clapton's pained howl, this is a classic and I doubt it'll ever get old. Even now, however many years after I first heard it, it still regularly gets stuck in my head.

I think Fitman's argument is that although Stalin may not have believed in the Judaic principle of a God, he portrayed himself as such a figure as many a religious tyrant have in history. This is an interesting perspective on the matter, although I'm not sure it does make him less of an atheist. Surely it was just a means of maintaining power and generating his weapon of fear?
I cannot speak for Mao as I don't know enough about him, but I was under the impression that Hitler was a staunch Catholic?

Easier said than done. Identifying what exactly 'the right thing' is can be very difficult. In fact, sometimes it is only in retrospect that we can truly know that we have done 'the right thing'. This item seems to have been added with the idea that there is a good vs evil fight in the world, and that it is only a matter of choosing this golden idea of 'good' in ones mind which is important, and what comes after will be natural and pure. However, it is probable that as Aristotle argued, there is no such thing as a universal good, and that no matter what you choose, there will be some sort of inquiet and evil as a result.
In theory, it is probably a measure of good character, but in practice, it is much more complicated than this.

Bollocks. Some of the biggest wankers I know are believers in a higher power. On the other hand, some of the kindest and most wonderful people I know are also believers in a higher power. My point here is that as a group of people, they are like any other group with a common factor, you get both good and bad people amongst them. I appreciate that if followed correctly, religious teachings should make one more pious and 'good', but that is quite often not the case.

Well I happened to stumble across this listing whilst listening to the Edgar Winter Group, so I can't really not give it a five...
I wouldn't mind having white hair, to be honest. In some respects, it makes one look refined. I'd much rather go white than go bald.

Is it possible to dislike CCR? One of the best hard rock bands around at the time, without the pomp that people found so detestable in bands like Yes. Their list of brilliant songs is endless, and from the footage of the shows I've seen, they were a fantastic live act as well. John Fogerty's voice and guitar playing are instantly recognisable, and he's not looking bad for his age at the moment. I saw footage of his set at Glastonbury from a few years ago.
