I'm a guy from United Kingdom
About me: Also known as PloKoon13, I am a politically aware 17-year-old who would probably be considered as a nerd. I am sometimes (undeservedly, of course...) called a Nazi for my right-wing views, but then again I have the bad luck of living in wishy-washy liberal England. I love rock music and various films as well as video games. I have recently developed an unreasonable infatuation with Star Wars which would explain the subject of the majority of my weblists. I enjoy retro games (indeed, I am still stuck on the PSOne) and am skeptical of the next-gen.

"...where beer does flow and men chunder"

Very catchy and humourous number. The video is even funnier.

I don't really understand their appeal. I enjoyed 'Monkey Gone To Heaven', but only as a novelty song. All of their songs seem to be very similar-sounding two minute simple chord bashing songs with identical drum beats and irritating vocals. Maybe there's something I'm missing, but I don't see the appeal of uninteresting, repetitive music which grows irritating after a short while. Maybe there's some hidden genius in the lyrics, but they're not really giving me much motive to find out...
Maybe I'm missing something...

Like Journey without the quality...
I have to confess that 'Keep On Lovin You' is one of those terrible ballads that I sinfully enjoy...

An Irish friend of mine sent me a copy of 'Can't Buy A Thrill', and although it took a while to get into, I must say it is a very good album indeed.

Review Icon ILikePie reviewed Beatles in Best Bands:
They're growing on me. I thought I'd give them another chance and I actually quite enjoyed most of Sgt Pepper's. Let's see if the rest of their albums do the same.

They're good, there's no question of that... but endless promotion of them from every second-rate classic rock magazine, as well as having to hear the Immigrant Song all the time has started to put me off them...
No Quarter stands the test of time, but many of their old, shorter songs do not.

They probably couldn't have picked a more perfect actor for the role than Patrick Stewart. Suave, wise, calm and measured, but still with a slight rebellious streak that does nothing but add to his excellence, Stewart manages to embody everything that Xavier is in the comics in the film. One of the real highlights for me.

Not great. He's a bit whiny, a bit of a goody-two-shoes (which doesn't reflect well when you have Wolverine trying very hard to look badass next to him), and when he dies in the third film, no one seems to give a shit.

This is a very good, unusual song with abstract themes which is growing on me. For me so far, one of the highlights of the Sergeant Pepper's album.
