All I can say is WOW. My friends and I took a road trip to Goshen Indiana to tour the art galleries in downtown Goshen. After a long day, we asked an employee of a gallery on S. Main street where we could sit down and have a good dinner before our long drive home. He recommended a place called Kelly Jae's Cafe, a place that specializes in Tapas.
I've had Tapas a few times so I was familiar with the menu of the various small portions of meats, fish and vegetables that you can select either as a light meal, snack or heavy dinner all depending on your choice.

Our pleasant hostess led us into a contemporary open dining area with Caribbean art on the walls and warm wood floors. I started out with an autumn apple salad that consisted of matchstick sliced apples, squash and sharp cheddar cheese cubes with a mellow dressing. I then had had Asian chicken skewers that arrived in a clever chinese take- out container. My 2 friends enjoyed their lamb chops and very fresh vegetables (I don't eat lamb but noticed only bones remained on the plates) For dessert, we shared a couple of apple tarts with warm caramel sauce and coffee ice cream atop.

This is one of the best restaurants I've eaten at! Next time I eat at Kelly Jae's I have to try the baked brie they listed as an appetizer and maybe the chocolate fudge cake for dessert; only this time I am not sharing!

My biggest addiction in foods is French Fries but I now substitute home-made popcorn sprinkled with southwest seasoning, instead due to the lower calories and guilt factor.

They are a comfort food from my childhood and I'm so glad they are still around every year!

We were at a friend's home for dinner one night and he served Graeter's strawberry ice cream for dessert. I thought it was very "home made" tasting; very, very rich and creamy. It's the kind of ice cream where one scoop is almost too much. I later saw it in our local grocery store and flipped at the price! If you are an ice cream aficiondo I suppose it would be worth it for a special occasion or a once in a while indulgence, but not worth it for making sundaes for the kids or drowning one's sorrows with a whole pint of ice cream on a Saturday night home.

The holidays are long gone and spring seems so far away. All I see is white and it's too cold. All I want to do is eat. Even candy at Valentine's Day is gone in 2 days. February is the worst month for me.

Sunday can be a lonely day for some. It can be a let down after a night of partying or just a nothing-to-do kind of day. There is nothing more uplifting than a walk through a beautiful park during any season. The scenery appeals to the senses and inspires a person to collect one's thoughts and plan tomorrow.

I've had the pure 100% pomegranate juice. It is very expensive and I could never acquire a taste for it. It's very strong and bitter tasting but has tremendous health benefits for fighting off diseases of all kinds. I do love the blends, however. They are in the bottled juice section of the grocery store and contain blueberry, cherry, cranberry as well as pomegranate.

My husband had an out-patient procedure done a few weeks ago and was prescribed vicodin to help manage the following pain. He had a very strong reaction to it immediately, with almost seizure like shaking, nausea and vomiting. We later found his sister had the same symptoms and so did an office co-worker. So, these reactions to vicodin (including the usual constipation and potential addiction) may be pretty common and not worth the risk. It would be better to ask the doctor for an alternate medication for pain.

I just returned from a weekend in Boston and I can recommend a visit to Walden Pond. It was a beautiful summer evening and I enjoyed the hike around the pond and all the natural beauty. Even the nearby railroad tracks add to the rural feel. There were not a lot of people so maybe late afternoon or early evening is a good time to visit. The only thing I found strange is that the bathrooms close at 5 PM when the park is still open.

After having a few unfortunate experiences with rawhide chews, and also owning a 3 year old dog with yellowing teeth, I was delighted to find CET chews, recommended by a friend. Our 2 dogs weigh within 8 lbs of each other, so I ordered the large size bag. (for dogs about 50 lbs)

The main thing about CET chews is that it contains an enzyme that breaks down the material so you don't have to worry about intestinal obstructions or diarrhea the next day. The chews are rectangular and flat in appearance but my picky dog had no problems grasping it out of my hand and running under the table with her new chew. It took them both about 20 minutes to consume their new "treat"

In the following days, there were no stomach upsets. It's too soon to tell about improvement of the teeth but overall I'm really liking this product. Not only is it good for cleaning teeth but I have found it works well as a pacifier when I have to leave for work in the morning.
