Before i start my review, i want to say i am a fan of the idea of american spirits. I like the face that they contain no additives in everything other then now the paper (because of the mandated FSC), and that they contain 25% more tobacco then other cigarettes, BUT i really dislike the draw, throat hit, and how expencive they are. Granted, they are quite a bit stronger being that they have more tobacco, and apparently contain more"free base" nicotine, (1.5mg in the lights!),i really think ive just ajusted to all the chemicals, and to me cigarettes with the additives seem to "smoke better"/easier. As far as the taste, i think american spirits have the upper hand. Being that they are additive free, they taste like what a cigarette should taste like, Tobacco. All in all, im giving a positive review on american spirit lights, but its not something i would smoke all the time. They are deeply satisfying, and could see how the extra expense of them would level out because of smoking less but i dont like them that much. 3.5/5

Camel wide lights are cigarettes that i really do enjoy. They taste good, i love the stubby little filter, and they are satisfying. The only drawback i find is that i dont find the throat hit as strong as the regular lights, and i do get sick of them after awhile. Im not sure if this is because the regular lights is what i usually smoke and im used to them, or what, but the lights/blues seem stronger. It could be the draw on the wides isnt as good because they are wider... but im not sure. On the upside of things though, i think they taste awesome. I feel like they taste alot closer to the filters then lights and way better then any marlboro. solid 4/5

Marlboro smooths arent too bad, but really as a novelty cigarette. Smoking a few packs in a row really take away from the flavor and are best enjoyed best if bought every now and again to really appreciate them. As a person that generally doesnt smoke much menthol i prefer them to the regular menthol taste. Overall not a bad cigarette at all. Def marlboro quality 3.5/5

Well, its finally out, but am i impressed? ehhh not really. I am becoming more and more of a snus user because its cheaper, dare i say safer and i feel generally better not smoking as much. I dont know what materal philip morris is using for the bags but i find it rough. Even the material that camel is using for there snus seems alot less abrasive then marlboros is. The only execption on the material is "rich" which seems to be the same or something closer to camels. As far as the flavors go, i dont really like them. The smell of all the flavors alone is enough to make me gag, esp the rich. The first few times i used it i will admit i liked it, but trying to use that stuff daily gets quite hard and it seems to make me want it less and less. If your wondering what they taste like, "rich" and "mild" to me are in the ball park of maple syrup, and im sure you can imagine how that might get old quick. Its super sweet and they are the only one that seems to really do anything for my nicotine cravings. The spearmint and peppermint takes like gum which might sound good in theory, but believe me after you use it for awhile, it REALLY gets old. If your really considering snus, i really recommend you order some swedish brands online, like general, ettan groteborgs rape or find a retailer that sells snus locally. (generalsnus.com) Trust me, youll thank me. If you just want something quick and convienient i MUCH more recommend the camel snus. Its still a bit of a bastardization of real snus, and a little on the sweet side, but its good. rjr def did there homework. 2/5 Oh, i wanted to mention the price. Depending on where you live, the base price might not seem like alot, but its a complete rip off as well. Where im from marlboro snus is $2.19 plus tax for 6 pouches. It doesnt seem like alot, but for what your getting it really is. If you go with a swedish brand, even including the shipping, cans of snus can be had for $3.00 and under and you get 24 pouches or 24 grams of tobacco. I think even camel is quite greedy with their priceing as well but at least you get 12 pouches for $3.00.

General snus is awesome, but i bought 10 rolls of the extra sterk and im sold on that stuff instead. Going back to the 8mg is like going from an unfiltered cigarette to a light haha

Ahh Pall Mall lights, now these are truely under estimated cigarettes. What can i say about them other then i like them. They taste good, burn forever and sorta on the stronger side (for a light cigarette). Call me crazy, but i REALLY think that RJR started putting the same blend of tobaccos in pall mall lights that they use in camel lights, because they taste really close. Marlboro lights cant touch these and 1.50 cheaper then premium brands has me sold when i need something a little cheaper. Solid 4/5

Let me start by saying i am a "camel guy" but i would say these rate about a 3.5 in my opinion. The First time i had them i did novel the idea of having the choice of menthol on demand and also thought that the non crushed cigarette flavor resembled the old camel lights, but honestly im not crazy about these. I do tend to buy menthols every once in awhile but not really enough to need to buy these in case i want one. I think the regular camel lights just taste better, so ill stick with thoes, unless im broke and need something that is $1.00 off or whatever.

After using "real swedish snus" i do think camels stuff is a bastardization of real snus, but is isnt bad by any means. I do agree it is too sweet and not quite strong enough but when i can get a hold of coupons it is worth it. I really cannot justify the now $4.00 price tag on these tho being that i can get a can of general for under $3 and get 24 pouches. If they had remained at 2.00 or so, i would still be using it.
