Rose Red (2002)

Written by Stephen King and directed by Crag R. Baxley. Starring Nancy Travis as Joyce, Matt Keeslar as Steve, Kimberly J. Brown as Annie, and Julian Sands as Nick. Professor Joyce Reardon leads a group of psychics into a house known as Rose Red. The group awakens a spirit and soon learns some secrets are better left unknown.

Generally I've liked the King mini series on television but this one just doesn't live up to past successes like It, Salem's Lot, and to a less extent Storm of the Century. Covering familiar territory with nothing new at the table makes for uninteresting viewing. The casting on this show is weak as well (I shouldn't even notice that, but I did).
