The Air Force is the more humanistic branch. People are achnowledged as individuals rather than another cog. Family life is important and the Air Force devotes many resourses to the family as well as the member. The living conditions are better and the facilities nicer. Someone once said that it's the closest to being a civillian and still be in the military. This is probably correct, but make no mistake ...it is still military. True, they have thier slugs, but I've seen them in all branches. By in large they are sharp, hard working troops who are proud of thier country, and represent it well. The job training is also applicable to crossing over to the civilian sector. Large bonuses are often paid to those careers in high demand. As mentioned your duties center around your primary job, so not as much time is spent doing trivial duties witch I've heard to be extensive in the other services (I grew up as an Army brat). It also takes higher asvab scores to get in than the other services. So to sum it up, if your educated and family minded the AF is probably for you. If you want to play soldier and do physical training every morning go Army or Marines. It's really about personal preference. Now, where'd I put those donuts?
