Actually, this only truly happens when they get a whiff of richer people's pay stubs. People are okay with taxes, but tend to wish it more on a socioeconomic bracket from which they are removed. As for Democrats, I'm sure there are a few folks who may think estate taxes are too low after watching the wonder that is Paris Hilton.
