Born in 1977, Paul Pierce was selected out of the University of Kansas by the Boston Celtics as the tenth overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft. The 6-7 forward finished third in the balloting for Rookie of the Year honors, averaging more than 16 points a game as a starter for the Celtics.

anyone that doesn't rate this guy 4 or 5 stars hasn't really seen him play. Very few players can match his scoring ability.
