They were neck and neck with the Clash in British popularity from the late '70s punk/new wave era. All Mod Cons along with Sound Affects are great albums. A socially conscious band, songs like That's Entertainment and Down in the Tubestation at Midnight are magnificent works. One of the best bands from this movement.
