Don't Answer Me is a relatively benign (and the most recognizable for many) single from the Alan Parsons Project's 1984 full-length Ammonia Avenue. The release's theme is social isolation, and the single supports this theme and is highlighted by the lonely saxophone work by Mel Collins and the vocals of Eric Woolfson, the long time vocalist for the Project. Don't Answer Me was also one of the Project's better commercial successes as the single charted in the U.S. for 8 weeks in 1984, peaking at #15.
