Not the most annoying driving habit, but don't be afraid to take the plunge. It's intimidating for some people to enter traffic when coming from a side street or whatever, but it gets a annoying when they miss big opportunities to go. Not that I want people to take a dumb risk, but use common sense. When making the turn, don't stare in one direction, look left and right when making a turn so you can get all the information possible before going.
