Born in 1947, Elton John released his first CD, "Empty Sky," in 1969. His most popular songs include "Your Song," "Rocket Man" and "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." The theatrical superstar has earned numerous Grammy Awards throughout his career.

Elton is great! His early stuff with Bernie Tauplin (sp?) is the best: Captin Fantastic, Don't Shoot Me..., Goodbye Yellow Brick Road... cornerstones of pop rock! It got cheesy at the end, but you have to respect his talent.
