This man is a waste of human flesh. He attracted vulnerable, mixed-kids with his seemingly harmless hippie family cult;in truth, Manson did not espouse the love and peace philosophy of the hippies. This man was about violence and bloodshed;to quote one of his former followers, Death was Charlie's trip. Poor Sharon Tate and her friends were murdered that August evening in 1969 because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. The house Sharon and her husband Roman Polanski was renting was once inhabited by Terry Melcher, who refused to assist Charles Manson in his musical aspirations. I suppose some might say if Terry Melcher had fostered Manson's musical aspirations,the murders might have been prevented, but I doubt this. Manson was crazy enough that he would have seized on another excuse to murder innocent victims. He was initially sentenced to death, but the death penalty was overturned in California in 1972, so the citizens of that state are now supporting this weirdo. The death penalty was the best penalty for Manson, because his personality disorder or his mental illness is so severe I doubt that he could be rehabilitated.
