In this season, we're introduced to Bearded Riker--and Doctor Kathrarine Pulsaski, a McCoy-esque older Doctor from the USS Repulse. The season continues the bombastic music and grand explorational feel of TNG's first season. This season includes many great episodes such as Where Silence Has Lease, where the crew faces a mysterious void; Contagion, where a deadly computer virus threatens the ship; Unnatural Selection, where Pulsaski begins to age at an incredible rate; the hilarious Manhunt, with the return of Lwaxana Troi; and of course Q, Who? featuring the introduction of the Borg. Wesley Crusher also doesn't save the ship as much this season, which is a plus.
