I dont know what these guys are talking about but I really recommend this card to first time card users, Capital One was the first to give me a chance and give me a card when the other companies denied me. Now i have excellant credit with over 4 credit limit increases since i got the card. Customer service is great, easy to read online statements, i have more than enough time to pay off my balance, and i feel extremely secure with this card, i have not had a single problem and i am completely satisfied.

How long did it take you to get the card in the mail after you applied?

Same thing here...I'm trying to fix my credit and CapOne gave me a card when at least 3 other card companies denied me. Here's the thing...once you get it, you can't max it out! Use it once a month to buy gas or something, and pay that balance off before the due date. Check your statement every month. Doing this will eliminate the late fees/over limit charges too. Only spend what you can pay for in cash. I learned that the hard way. And it took about 4 business days to get my card in the mail.
