The best right field arm I have ever seen. I remember him turning obvious doubles into singles, and gunning down runners at third or home with ease and aplomb. A dangerous hitter and terrifying on the basepaths, he was one of the very best.

Have this in my old review, but it came up again with my family- grumpy old uncle said, "He ran like a deer." And he tried to poetically describe Clemente after the fourth whiskey. . .

As a member of an "old fart network" of my own, I still remember how he played in the 1971 series. It was as if he invented the position.
