Kerry at least has a chance of beating Bush. He has already put Bush on the defensive with some of his comments and has shown that he is no passive Michael Dukakis who can be pushed around. Also, he seems to be a little more cerebral than Governor Dean, so I don't think he will be as likely to make gaffes as that poor man. However, as Kerry himself has recognized the Republicans have a formidable attack squad, and it remains to be seen how Kerry will stand up to their mudslinging.
