Now here's a guy with an ego problem. He captures a Roman emperor (Valerian I) and uses him as his personal footstool for the remainder of the unfortunate captive's life; then on his death he has him stuffed, but since as royal furniture he starts to erode more quickly than anticipated he has his body placed in a Persian temple instead. Probably would have been a crummy boss, but getting fired by him might have involved a bit more than cleaning out your desk.
