Travelling by jet nowadays is like going on Greyhound, poor service, very tight seating. That's the downside of de-regulation. That said, it's awfully convienient being able to fly from Miami to LA in less than 4 hours. I once drove cross country and it took about 5 days. Airports are a hassle but it's a timesaver.
