The original Stooges (from the '30s and early '40s) was the team of Larry Fine and brothers Moe and Curley Howard. Curley left early in the '40s, and was replaced by Shemp (another Howard brother). Shemp died in the mid '50s, and had two other replacements as the series went on partway through the '60s.
