Son of the horse 'Hard Track' and, of course, grandson of Man o 'War, maybe the greatest Thoroughbred of all time. Seabiscuit was a great horse with a great story. He had many stunning victories on the West Coast and his rivalry with War Admiral brought people back to the sport of horse racing. But, what about Seabiscuit's performance in his second Santa-Anita Handicap? He didn't win the race but it was one of the greatest spectacles in horse racing. He finished a close second but nonetheless ran possible the greatest race of all time. And his third attempt and first victory at the Santa Anita Handicap was the second fastest mile-and-a quarter in American history. This was a great horse and probable one of the greatest Colts of all time.
