I have begun collecting episodes of 77 Sunset Strip. Vendors are not easy to find, and the quality varies greatly. Those of you who want episodes that are of the highest quality, check out www.classicvideollc. Good stuff. I have about 50 episodes now, and enjoy watching them over and over. They're dated, to be sure, but that's the charm of the show: 50's T-birds, narrow neck ties, snub nose .38s, Dino's, and of course, Kookie. Unfortunately, Dino's and the building that posed as 77 Sunset Strip are no longer still standing on the Boulevard as they once were. Both have been razed and made into more modern structures.
If you watch enough episodes, you'll be able to detect many of the same sets being used over again with thin disguises.
Roger Smith, Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. and Edd Bynes are all still alive and living in the LA area.
