I don't see how he could be mankind's savior. A lot of people were put to the sword or lit on fire in his holy name. Now we have a president who believes that Jesus was the greatest political philosopher who ever lived. Is Jesus working through Bush to save mankind? Bush certainly thinks he is, but I don't see a lot of saving going on. Jesus is not MY savior, and it's fine for you to think that he died for MY sins as well as yours, but I feel no gratitude because I can't just pass over the responsibility for my own misdeeds to some skinny Jew who died 2000 years ago on the other side of the world.
