Most people don't say "Hi, it's me" when leaving a voice-mail for the girl they met at Denny's at 4am 2 nights ago.

This is no big deal. You can still be at the friendship stage of a relationship and be able to instantly recognize a voice without leaving the name. Or maybe I'm just not into these types of subtileties.
