No way. I used to work at a corporation in the R&D department, and I remember the entire Quality Control department were total gossips. I made the mistake of sitting at their table in the lunch room one time and they wouldn't shut up about who was sleeping with whom, and who was probably going to get fired, and so on. I made a point of avoiding these conversations. I was, however, friends with some of them and at our annual golf tournament I was out having a smoke with one of the girls from QC and she told me all sorts of things about people I knew and worked with that I'd never suspected. I admit I was kind of intrigued by all these little bits of information. Like a couple people who worked in the same office as I were caught by the janitor having sex on the boss' desk. That type of thing. Listening to and partaking in gossip is super addictive, but I would advise anyone to stay away from that particular crowd at work. There are more important problems in life.
