Steve Cauthen is the last jockey to ride a horse to a Triple Crown. In 1978 Steve Cauthen rode Affirmed to a Triple Crown by beating Alydar in the stretch run. Steve Cauthen considered that the greatest race of his career. In 14,630 Steve Cauthen rode to victory 2,794 times (19.1%). Steve Cauthen is also the only jockey in history to win the Kentucky, Epsom, Irish, French, and Italian Derbys.

Steve has accomplished something that no other jockey will ever do - win the Triple Crown at 18 years of age. He's also a great person, I should know, he's my cousin!
