An excellent example of why incumbants are tough to beat. Need the military vote? Announce that you are bringing 60,000 troops home. While I don't disagree with troop redeployment and am glad for these soldiers and their family, clearly the timing of the announcement was political. Having presidential powers while you are running your reelection campaign certainly has its perks.
