It is important to understand that Senator Kerry or any candidate for that matter is advised regarding the issues they must address. President Clinton and his handlers were experts at tossing up trial ballons to insure they were catering to public opinion and not their core beliefs or vision of the future. Remmember, when you elect a President the team of advisors is also part of the package. The Senator has taken opposing sides on many issues and that is an indicator that there is no real solid platform from which to lead or govern. As with most elections there is selective hearing by the voters and limited broad based answers by the candidates. Fortunately as news outlets scrutinize this election the reporting on the flip flops is more in the public eye. This should of course apply to both candidates.
