ok. now ive read a few -ve comments about becker here, and the favorite seems to be his inability to win on clay. I feel that becker was a specialist, he specialized on power play- that was his style!! playing on clay requires a different style and it just wasnt his! My friends if you will remember the time when becker played. He hit the limelite when such stars like mcenroe was fading out, and when he peaked he did so with a lota grace and was my god the most powerful. Nobody wanted to play powerful tennis then, he kinda introduced a new style- a trend setter. Oh and im sure there are some that will want to compare him with sampras and the likes. well for starters when sampras hit the scenes becker was not in his peak, he had been so for the previous 10 years!! And i can just go on..... but here it is i think becker has been a phenominon in tennis(starting the power play style of the game) and so he ought to up there among the best. One last piece of advice... dont compare two players of different generations- never works.
