I have been put on differin gel before, but it irritated my face so badly that I ended up just throwing the tube away. Over the past few years after trying EVERYTHING OTC (including ProActiv, which sucked for me, but many other people swear by it), my skin has gotten so terrible that I finally went back to the dermatologist and told him that differin gel irritated my skin, but that I was willing to tolerate flakey, itchy skin to get rid of my acne. He prescribed me the cream this time, and my skin is not irritated at all and is so much healthier looking and feeling. I would definately recommend the cream for people with sensative skin. I just wash with Cetaphil and use SPF 15 everyday, and my skin is so much better.
