Mao Tse-Tung, this man directly or indirectly killed more people then Hitler and Stalin combined. He starved so many people it is ridiculous. I don't know how hated the guy is, but he is evil. But, as many others have said, he isn't very well known outside of Asia. Although his was evil, he did do some good for China, so I don't know how hated he really is.
