Although SC is a state where there have been significant job losses, especially in manufacturing, expect Bush to win in this state. Kerry hasn't done a good enough job in downplaying social issues and focusing in on economic and foreign policy questions. If the election were based on that, expect a Democratic showing. But this election, especially in the South and in the Midwest seems to be predicated on social matters like gay rights, religious issues, and abortion.
