Ignatius, God didn't just want to forgive us, and go about business as usual, He wanted to restore us to our place as his family, and He thought it best to live as one of us, die on the cross to pay our sin-debt, then rise again from the grave to give us eternal life by defeating death. Not everyone believes that like I do, and that's OK. You have a mind to make up just like I do, and I will respect your right to choose, whether or not I agree with your choice. I hope someday you'll find God for yourself.
