MN is a beautiful state, if you can get past the cold. But winters haven't been as bad in the last two decades as they once were. Contrary to what some people have comments, the best parts of MN are the outlying areas, near the lakes. Serene and gorgeous, especially in summer. Minneapolis used to be a great city but is becoming overrun with crime and liberals. If you like city life, stick to St. Paul.
