It depends on what you mean by suppress. There is a time and place for everything and that includes religion but ALL religions equally. For instance we wouldn't tolerate a muslim coming into our schools and trying to convert children to Islam so we should not tolerate christians from coming into our schools and preaching to our children. That is not the time or place.
