Yes I do want to take guns away- most of them anyway. I think people should be able to own hunting rifles, but no one needs handguns or assault rifles. These weapons are only available to kill other human beings. I would put credence in the Well criminals could still buy them if 1.) Guns were statistically shown to be a positive force in protection of one's self and/or possessions- not only has that not been shown, but people who defend their houses with guns are more likely to shoot someone who lives in the house or is not trying to break in. 2.) most of these guns that criminals buy weren't domestically produced; if we stopped making guns all over the country then the criminals would not be able to have them either. We are not allowed to buy other types of letha; armament, so why hand cannons? So far 23 people have been murdered in the last 9 days in Philadelphia- just about all with guns. The state GOP even opposes legislation that would outlaw bulk gun purchases. I really wish that some of you gun nuts could witness the sight of a 9 year old boys grey matter on the sidewalk: thats what your guns get us...death. When will you people learn?
