I am captured by Eric Avery's lines on all of the Jane's Addiction albums on which he appears. Every time I listen to one of those records, I am blown away by what he does. He is far and away my favorite bassist.
Unfortunately, he has played with Alanis Morrisette and is now touring with Garbage. Although this news is upsetting, at least I have my Polar Bear, Deconstruction, and Jane's Addiction records.
