Original 2-8-08: When it gets down to it, Obama isn't saying anything new, he's just finding a new way to say it. His socialist health care policy really isn't any different than Clinton's, and she couldn't even sell her ideas to Democrats 16 years ago. His Iraq policy isn't any different than the average Liberal Democrat either. Even part of his coming out party speech at the DNC in '04 was essentially a rehash of someone elses speech. He talked about how we shouldn't have a black America and a white America and a brown America, etc. Sounded exactly like what Pat Buchanan said about hyphenated Americans years earlier. Buchanan's speech was marked racist, Obama's marked him a rock star. Speaking of which, I keep expecting Randy, Paula, and Simon to pop up on screen and make comments after every speech. We're not selecting an American Idol here folks, it's an American president. Other than that, he just keeps talking about change. From what I can see of his extreme left stance on the issues and his horrible voting record, I don't need or want that kind of change.
Update 2-18-08: Now he's using Deval Patrick's words, taking lines from the governor's campaign a year and a half ago. It's bad enough that he's packaged and sold, and that people are buying it, but it's used goods.
