The granite state does rise above the genre of strip mall hell- sure the southern part of the state is becoming A Boston suburb- but is that a bad thing? I can think of hundreds of areas in the country that would love to be in such a position- try driving throughout most of California- like Orange county- San Diego- or the drive from San Jose to San Francisco up the El Camino Real-talk about strip mall hell- it makes New Hampshire look like peace in paradise. The state is moderating its politcal views as well- becoming part of all blue New England. Charming towns with a long and distinquished history and real people that are open minded and fair- and not overly materialitic- sounds like a damn solid place to live.
