At the time of me rating this Peart is the highest rated drummer on the list and probably deservedly so. Although i don't really consider Rush heavy metal i will support Peart's greatness as he is here. Listen to O'Basteria from the 2003 live DVD Rush in Rio and instantly see why he is above all competitors. A little stiff at times during some Rush songs but it is this live 9 minute solo above all others that establishes him.
