Mike Krzyzewski was named head basketball coach of the Duke University Blue Devils prior to the 1980-81 season. Mike Krzyzewski has guided Duke to 3 National Championships (at the time of this entry) and ranks among the all time leaders in NCAA Tournament Wins and Final Four Appearances. Prior to arriving at Duke, Coach K was head coach for the United States Military Academy for five years.
